PolyPacific's comprehensive grade range has been established over many years of experience in the automotive industry, and through the use of its own extensive R & D facility.

The product range is broadly described under trade names that reflect the main filler or modification type used in the polypropylene compound. With the advent of combined filler technology, such as mineral and glass fibre reinforcement (with or without chemical coupling) and possibly also impact modification all in the one compound, the distinction between grades has become more complex.

However, the PolyPacific trade name grouping still applies and has been retained to reflect the main filler type and resultant physical properties of the particular compounds.

Technical Data Sheets

CORTON®

Mineral Filled Polypropylene

A range of talc, calcium carbonate, and mica, barium sulphate and wollastonite filled polypropylene in varying filler percentages providing increased rigidity and improved heat resistance. Improved flow and high gloss compounds are also available.

EPALEX®

Rubber Modified Polypropylene

A range of thermoplastic rubber modified polypropylene designed mainly for the automotive industry to cover a wide range of flexibility and hardness and provide excellent impact strengths at sub-zero temperatures.
This has been combined with PolyPacific's mineral filled technology to provide grades with good rigidity, high temperature resistance and impact performance.

SEBLEX®

Modified Elastomer

A range of modified elastomers where low hardness (down to Shore A30) flexible grades are available.
Applications include items such as handle grips, knobs, console mats, weather seals and flexible PVC replacement.

EXTRON®

Glass Reinforced Polypropylene

The addition of glass fibre to polypropylene greatly enhances the rigidity, strength and heat resistance of the material. The range also includes highly coupled grades with varying glass fibre percentages. Improved impact grades and high gloss formulations are also available.

RETPOL®

Flame Retardant Polypropylene

These materials have been designed to meet the Underwriters Laboratories flammability specification (UL94-V2) and I.E.C. glow wire tests. Grades are available in homopolymer, copolymer and mineral filled polypropylene.
