Flame Retardant Polypropylene compounds
Our Retpol grades are designed to meet specified flammability tests, as required by the end-use specification. These tests may include:
- UL94 ratings (HB,V-2,V-1,V-0,5VA) for general appliances
- Glow-wire ignition temperature ratings for electrical applications
- AS/NZS 1530.3 testing requirements for building materials
Flame retardant systems can be based on either halogenated hydrocarbons with antimony trioxide synergist or non-halogenated systems.
Our Retpol grades exhibit a range of mechanical properties and melt-flows, and can be tailor-made to the needs of the application.
Typical applications include appliance housings, electrical housings, light-fittings, institutional seating and stadium seating.
